Do you have this feeling of excitement when you are about to travel for the first time or once again? How about nervousness, do you still have that feeling too about the fact you’ll be able to travel or about to travel again? Most people, including me, still feel the same whenever the fact of being able to travel again is most certain. There are many different kinds of travelers. These travelers are the people who are often seen as business trip delegates, people who had the audacity to use traveling as a luxury for themselves and their loved ones, and/or, adventurers who are always ready for the adrenaline brought by their love for travelling.
Some are excited for having the luxury to travel such as having mixed emotions to see a place for the first time and what the place can offer you, and being with the people they are with. Which, sooner or later, their excitement leads to nervousness and anxiety.
On the other hand, some people feel fear when traveling or travelling for the first time. Fear is a state of mind. Remembering my phobia of flying, it is important to discuss the problem with someone who experienced the same fear as you have. It somehow alleviates the phobia and it dissipates along the way. No amount of medication, no therapy needed, and there are no doctors to pay to overcome the phobia you are feeling. All you can do is have a positive mindset such as having the thought of wanting to see the world – that’s what I kept at the back of my mind as I joined tours and discussed my sentiments with my friends about my phobia. But keep in mind that it is only you alone who can help yourself in overcoming your phobia of flying.
